Library plays a vital role in the life of a nation. A library is said to be the treasure house of wisdom, experience, secretes of success and causes of failure and suggestions or improvement in future life. A country having no rich and sound libraries cannot make the required progress. As it is said that teacher teach the student for get out the internal abilities of a student , while student get experience of external by himself, and libraries are the best place to get external experience. The world is full of libraries but some of most famous and in news are few.
• The National Library, Vienna (Austria):-
The national library of Vienna is one of the huge libraries in the world. Accounting to a survey it has a collection of papyri of 81,000 items, 12, 00,000 printed books and manuscripts.
• Munich State Library (Germany):-
Is the most famous and depended library in the world, comprises of 2.5 million volumes and is considered to be the biggest library in Germany
• British Museum Library:-
This library was established in 1759. It has six million printed books and 60,000 manuscripts. In the world war two as the many countries disturb British country is one of them. Almost one hundred and fifty thousand books were destroyed by air raid.
• State Library, Berlin (German)
It was established between the years 1659-61. In 1947 it was amalgamated with the Berlin University Library. Prior to the world war 1914-18 it had 2.85 million books. On the whole now there are 1.5 million books in the new library. Amongst Germany’s other biggest libraries are: university of Bonn (8, 00,000), Freiburg (12, 00,000).

Every year number of thousand books are added in this library. “Toronto, Canada(1,00,000 volumes),Amsterdam University’s Library(15,00,000 books) and National Library Argentina (6,00,000 volumes of books)“.
